Two Girls Staring At The Ceiling is about a girl named Chessie, who finds herself in the hospital. She doesn't understand why something like this could happen to her, always perfect Chessie, during one of the worst times. She shares the room with another patient, Shannon, who seems to be the exact opposite of herself. At first they hate each other but eventually they learn that they have more in common than it may seem.

This book was so good. It was an emotional roller coaster, that makes you think about how thin the line is between sick and healthy, dead or alive. The fact that it was written in verse made it even better because the poetic timing of everything makes it even more emotional. The book is written with a line down each page, signifying the curtain between Chessie and Shannon's hospital bed. You can really picture the two girls on both sides of the hospital room. This is a book that you can not put down from the moment you start to read it. I recommend this book to everyone, because it was so so so so so GOOD!
